Most people have seen or heard of acupuncture in humans or animals. At Sulphur River Veterinary Clinic, we offer equine acupuncture as part of a holistic approach to care. Each treatment begins with a full osteopathic evaluation to pinpoint areas of tension or dysfunction.
If a horse is stiff, sore, or struggling to flex through a particular part of the body, that’s usually the focus of our acupuncture work. Depending on what the horse needs, we may use traditional needles, electro-acupuncture, or vitamin B12 aquapuncture for added effectiveness.
Dr. Denise Fowler completed her formal training in veterinary acupuncture at the Chi Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine in Florida.
