Veterinarian & Owner
I grew up in Richardson, Texas, where I first caught the horse bug through Pony Club and eventing. That passion led me to Texas A&M University–Commerce, where I played soccer on scholarship and earned my B.S. in Agriculture Science. From there, I continued to Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
Eager to expand my skills, I went on to complete training at the Chi Institute of Veterinary Chinese Medicine in Florida (2006) and the Vluggen Institute of Equine Osteopathy in San Marcos, Texas (2007).
A Life with Horses
Over the years, I’ve owned and trained more than thirty horses of all breeds—Arabians, Mustangs, Quarter Horses, Paints, Percherons, Appaloosas, Thoroughbreds, Welsh, Minis, and more. That hands-on experience has given me a deep appreciation of what horse owners put into their animals—financially, physically, and emotionally. It shapes how I approach every exam, treatment, and conversation with clients.
Family & Home
Today, I live in Commerce with my husband Billy, who teaches agriculture science at Caddo Mills High School, and our daughter Maggie, who keeps life joyful (and lively!). Together, we take care of the family ranch, a mix of cats, dogs, cattle, and horses. In our free time, Maggie and I enjoy Welsh Pony shows, dressage, and local playdays.
My Philosophy
Veterinary medicine is always a partnership. I bring my experience to the table, but I also learn from my clients. Whether you’re a long-time friend of the clinic or someone walking through the doors for the first time, I’m grateful to share in the care of your animals.
